nerd is back!

Hi!

its been a while i know. and this a short posts, suddenly the urge to blogs kicked in.

okay, now i am a whopping 84kg, WAS at most 75 before i’m married. phew.

remember me talking about coming back? i already did! but this is not with the selangor motor race with zhafir’s FZ.

it was in the KBS endurance race, with a wave 100R. we got 3rd spot peeps! hahaha, what a nice comeback, for me at least.

will rambles longer about the race later. and oh, i am the heaviest racer on that day. hahahaha  XD

a come back?

yeah, its been months the blog is anything except updated. i am now married and gained 6kgs after. gile..kalau umah dah bersawang dah siling dia…haha..selamat hari raya kepada semua yang meraikan aldilfitri.

its been months too i got away from racing, simply because it just costs too much. i lost a part of me when i did…(chewahh!)

so to cut the story short, a friend of mine, zhafir ended up needed to further studies in U.K., after prepping his FZ150i for Selangor Motor Race(SMR). He is kind enough to let me have the chance to race the remaining rounds with his bike.

We however got a mutual agreement to have me test the bike first to judge if its worthy for me to race. My target is at least to match his lap time of 51 sec. He decided to let me race if my laps times reach 53-54 sec. Its too early too say if i can match that lap times. One, i never ride this bike, on road nor track. Second, i have not racing for a year now, and lastly, i am over 80kg now. Zhafir is 65kg and have been riding the bike fir few years on track and on road.

Its a good challenge, to motivate myself to achieve that lap time for now. The bike is now prepared, missing only brake pumps for me to test ride. i’ve started on a cardio workout(only 2nd times today, started yesterday).

The main problem is the money. License plus fees should be around/over RM400. It was small when i was single, but as a family man that is huge. ,aybe i can cut down meal expenses during workdays, besides i want to scrape off some weight also 🙂

may this all ends well..i missed racing very very badly..

Bukit Putus Hillclimb post mortem

its been a week now after the awesome event. But i’m just too busy at panasonic for the past few days. Intended to stay late though to make up extra money for something very nice 🙂

so tonight i collect all the strength to write up something to updates on the hillclimb runs. its just too much fun, i am selfish if i were to keep it for myself 🙂

its was AWESOMEEEEE peeps! man..racing on open road is very nice indeed. basically suspensions of your bike need to be softer from track setup to absorb bumps ferom normal road condition better. Other than that you’re good to go.

It was a car/bike event. So the car is dominating. Plenty of nice machines shows up during the day, and this one caught my intention. here’s an eye candy

Toyota Ae86...hunted by many drifters. looks like a normal drift setup car right? teettt!wrong..whats up with the cut up hood?did you notice that?

An AE86 car but with trick stuff inside. Clue, whats a famous red cylinder headed engine?

may this this next pic helps you out

can you figure it out?

its a honda powerplant! huyohh..how come an honda engine be fitted in a Toyota?

thats not all…it aint the regular vtec we see everyday. it was taken from an S2000! wahlauwehh…i asked the owner then “why dontcha use the usual 4 throttle levin engine?” …he answered ” i want a reliable engine for training. a levin need modification to extract power from it, where as with this engine, it juices out 220HP in stock form”..mak aih..byk gile duit kau bole la kut..dasat-dasat.

okayyy..cars stuff done, lets get to our runs. At first it sounded like many riders are coming, but at the event only me and amir pomen came. Then thankfully bunch of guys with KSRs came also to join the fun. else, it would be only 2 bikes.

We’re being launched one by one by the organizer, and it takes me about 4-5 runs up there to familiarize with the road.

At the morning session it was damp. It rains heavily that morning

rains..i like itt..buat when it comes to riding in it...:(

have i told you how i hate riding in the rain? i have? well..i HATE IT!..haha…so i take it easy in the morning. But when the sun shines and the road dries out..tanduk pun klua laa…hahaha..heres amir’s run up the hill. i’m on a faster bike so i can tailgate him easy. we manage to get permission to climb up duet so i can record him. here’s how it looked like

near the finish area he let me passed him out to be able to record me pulak…but his cam’s battery dried out and the cam was off..caistt 😦

haaaha..no worries though..i had fun! and here’s my last run. Should be about my 7th run that day and i feel comfortable with te route this time around. i ride as hard as i could within my safe pace. Super fun i tell ya!

my last post i did mentioned it may be quite the same as isle of manTT. well..of course i’m slower, i’m on a 150cc machine..i need 850cc more…anyone want to lend me their superbikes? i promise i’ll treat it good 🙂 …hahah

Man, i had fun that day. please do make this more often …heheh

hujan..wets…

Today it rains all day long in shah alam.

its kinda sync with how much i’m feeling  down these past few days. I can hardly smile and laugh with friends and collegues..its painful i tell ya.

i always liked when its raining however..kan ke org kate hujan rahmat..terase la rahmat tu kot..haha

ok, sissy talk aside,

Though i love when its rains, i truly..truly, deeply..from the bottom of my heart, right to the very core, hates it to be racing in the wets. History showed that in the wets, i’m either super slow, or very fast but ends up crashing.

Its hard, in wet condition i ride with my eyes, not from the feedback from the bike. Riding like that, i don’t have any idea about how much grip i have. Donno how much to brake, how much to lean, how much wide the throttle should be. Haih!

Here is one, back in 2006…tegak je amik korner…maluuu

Ade sesiku L bolehlah ukur kat gambar ni..aku dead sure moto ni perpendicular dengan tarmac

And this one from 2007. The qualifying session is raining cats and dogs. I end up qualified last on the grid! Member bagi umbrella girl ntah dari mana…funny, last position, tapi siap umbrella girl bagai..poyo

Org kate budak ni comel..mintak no la bagai..adepun aku ini tak kenal langsung dengan beliau ye..harap maklong

But that was one of the best race weekend of all time. From last, 22nd position i manage to race through the field and was 6th at the chequered flag. Not bad huh? bangge pulak…haha

But it didn’t last long..on the very same day, it rains at Race 2, i was at 3rd position when it rains, and i finished at 8th. Missed the 3rd spot that day.

Then came in 2009. I qualified 2nd..my first front row start ever and all excited! The rain then decided to visits the soil of earth on the morning of race 1.  menerima segala-galanya dengan redhaaa(nyanyi macam anuar zain) i went out the pits and took up my grid position.

On race start i fall to 5th from 2nd. But to my suprise, i was riding very confident and was slowly moving up the field. i passed one rider to take 4th place. Tamak pun menguasai diri, i manage to tailgate the 3rd position rider by the time we’re approaching Sepang Turn 1. Achieving top speed of about 200km/h at 200m braking mark, both of us starts to braked for the turn, with me braking harder trying to outbrake him and take that 3rd pos. Well, the physics don’t give any mercy. The front locks at that instant and both bike and me was sliding. The bike made quite nice sparks.

Terbaring terkulai di situ...what you can't see here is that i'm still sliding towards the bike

yeah..kekanda datang wahai puteri kesayangan beta..

sile credit kepada marshal yang bersungguh sungguh lari datang memberi bantuan itu

Off i go..without knowing the brake levers are gone..moron

As you can see, i get the bike up and resume the race without knowing i lost both of brakes. It was approaching Turn 4 then i realized i have no brake levers..yikes! the gravel then stops me from hitting the barrier..nasib baik tk tergolek lagi sekali.

Because i didn’t finish the race, i started race 2 from last grid again, at 30th spot. Race 2 it was dry, so i manage to climbs up to the 6th spot at finish line. i was ok, but the bike got beat up pretty badly. It lost both front and rear brakes, fairings were mashed, subframes bent, footpegs gone etc etc.

Understand why i hate racing in the wets? however, i find it very enjoyable commuting on a bike during the rain. Dah besar-besar ni main hujan semata-mata orang kata buang tebiat pulak…naik moto dapat la alasan main hujan..haha

Oh, i forgot, the race that i crashed while trying to take up the 3rd position, the 3rd position guy actually became the champion of race 1. The 1st and 2nd pos rider crashed out giving the first spot to him. Which means if i were to use my head that time and even if i cant get pass him, i will actually finished at 2nd spot.

‘Kalau’ la kan…’kalau’ indeed is a magic word..

outsss….

Posts Jiwa

i’m sad, mad and everything bad ( as oppose to sugar, spice and everything nice)

at moments like this..only riding bikes calms me down. Thats how much biking means to me. It calms me down when the Taco hits the redline before every shifts.

To date, that never fails to make me feels better,

But the er-6 is at my Kampung back at banting.

anybody care to lend me your fast bikes? please?

out, broken hearted
